Sarah's Birthday, a New Year, and a few days off--we've been celebrating non-stop for the past few days. Sarah's birthday party was a blast. Baby dolls, ponies, and Dora were the gifts and pink/lavender was the color scheme.

The celebration continued on New Years' Eve. The Jones' big party was a hit! I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time. It was wonderful to ring in 2009 with such great friends. The kids made it all night, too. We got home and had hot chocolate after midnight. They were proud of themselves making it all the way to ring in the year with us.
We took a couple of days and went to Boston--the kids went swimming at the hotel. I went shopping at the mall. The shopping trip was....should I say....very productive. But, come on, I hadn't been shopping in a mall for over 18 months (can't you die from that?) Anyway, after I got back in the car after putting the finishing touches on the trip with a new pair of shoes (okay, 2 new pairs of shoes) Jason and all the kids broke into song with a resounding "Happy Birthday, to you!" My birthday isn't for awhile, but I guess I just purchased all my gifts!
We had fun just relaxing together and playing games--we also did the marathon Lord of the Rings trilogy (thanks, Heather) with a few football games here and there. It was a great break for our whole family! Batteries are recharged. Now it's back to school and work.
Sarah's new baby and her baby steps....

SO CUTE! I can't believe how fast they grow. The video is supper cute. I'm sure it's so fun having a little girl who likes all the dolls and stuff rather than the boy toys. Have fun!
How cute she is. The video of her walking is wonderful. I'm so glad you posted the festivities. What a fun night to celebrate. I can't believe the boys stayed up to bring in the new year. I even stayed up, I know, don't fall over. Kung Fu Panda and Something's Gotta Give kept us entertained until midnight. HAPPY NEW YEAR. We love you.
Your kids are sooo cute! At least Sarah will leave in her headband. Hannah never will!!
Oh, Steph, such marvelous pictures. The glee on Sarah's face is infectious. And everyone leaning in to look at her. I am *so* glad Jason got time off. And I am SO glad you got to go shopping! B/c, I mean, 18 months? That's...that's torture! :) Line that cracked me up the most: "Note: Skip all the baking and buy a lollipop." Awesome.
she is sooo cute - how can you stand it?! Spoiling her is probably way too easy!
Sarah is quite possibly the cutest 1 year old ever. That smile just lights up her face, AND I can't believe she is 1 already!!
How cute is she?? I am so sad we missed it. We were seriously tempted to come join you guys in Boston...(Especially since we were already in NJ)But of course I have been to a mall a FEW times in the last 18 months:)
Pony's and Dora. That sounds like our house. The fact they love it all and can keep up on all the star wars facts makes for some well rounded girls!
happy belated b-day sarah!! i love her cute little smiles in the pics. steph, the shopping trip in boston sounds great and you deserve something nice for each of the 18 mos. you missed. plus, somebody's b-day is around the corner!
She's so adorable... She's one and walking! I can't believe it. Time flies huh? We will have to get together some time:-) Cute family!
